We look forward to working together. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Compact Learning Packages: What Are They<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>   These are short bursts of inclusion learning that you, or line manager colleagues, can facilitate yourselves. Released monthly, you can take these packages to team meetings or for learning on the go: they are designed to embed further learning outside of the \u2018classroom\u2019. Each compact package will introduce an aspect of inclusion or understanding difference, provide some context and background, introduce a case study for discussion and conclude with a summary of learning points, behaviours and approaches. These sessions are practical and relatable: they are a simple way to support behaviour change.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why they work<\/strong><br \/><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They are designed to be embedded into daily working life; <\/li>\n<li>They have real relevance to the work of the team;<\/li>\n<li>They are given priority and time on a routine basis, enabling colleagues to learn together during the session and beyond; <\/li>\n<li>They create opportunities for an ongoing conversations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How they work<br \/><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The packages are applicable to all types of employees as they have been developed to allow delegates to contextualise the learning to fit with their own environment. We can offer one-off sessions or packages of five sessions. Typically lasting 90 minutes, these sessions can duplicate and run through the day to get maximum participation or be a mix of sessions and content through the day, or run over a period of time, to keep the steady drum beat of inclusion going!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why they work<br \/><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These sessions offer an opportunity to energise delegates about inclusion by supporting them to see how an inclusive culture improves performance, motivation and morale. They are also designed to boost their understanding of difference, increase empathy and respect. With a very practical and behavioural focus we give people the tools to create the culture that we all want to work in!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How they work<br \/><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These sessions also work very well as part of a celebration or focussed event. Our Diversity Calendar can help you plan these. We take a brief and develop the session to be delivered to your staff, the session could be an hour, a full day or more, and then we create your Train the Trainer package which consists of comprehensive trainer notes, slide decks, signposts to additional learning for the trainers and a train the trainer (TTT) session. The TTT usually includes a slow walk through of the final delivery product, Q and As, top tips and additional key learning to keep the trainer one step ahead \u2013 at least! \u2013 of their delegates. If your trainers are new to training, we will include content on group management, difficult delegates and top tips for presenting and facilitating in an effective, and inclusive way.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why it works<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Aside from the cost benefits, internal trainers bring a dimension to the training that may be essential in your organisation.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How it works<br \/><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Programmes are written to the clients brief but historically they have included full day Equality, Diversity and Inclusion through too smaller and shorter topics. This can also be delivered on a drama-based model with your staff facilitating our actors. This resource is added to on a routine basis, broadening subject areas, updating to ensure currency and reflecting global best practice.<\/p>\n<p>Using these resources is a fantastic way to increase capability within your organisation, managers, leaders, staff, network leads can all utilise these resources to improve individual, team and organisational performance, minimise discrimination risk and create inclusive cultures.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How they work<br \/><\/h3>\n<p>You can use our resources to create a comprehensive diversity and inclusion library on your own intranet, as part of your momentum to create an inclusive workplace. Drama based learning uses forum theatre, a technique in which actors play out scenes and the audience has permission to stop the scene, discuss it and then redirect it towards an alternative outcome. <\/p>\n<p>The forum theatre scenes are supported by \u2018hot seating\u2019 in which the actors, in character, respond to questions or advise from the delegates about their behaviours, approaches and intentions and are coached towards different outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Inclusive Employers believe in drama based learning because it creates the ideal space to \u2018rehearse for action\u2019 for colleagues. It allows them to share ideas on how different approaches may lead to different outcomes.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why does it work<br \/><\/h3>\n<p>Drama based learning works through a suspension of disbelief: delegates emotionally connect with the characters that the actors play. That connectivity engenders a range of emotions from frustration to empathy and reflects the range of emotions that exist in everyday workplaces.  The connection is enhanced through dialogue and reflection techniques and the facilitator draws the delegates through to identify positive outcomes and coaches the actors to deliver them.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason why drama based learning works is because it is fun! And at Inclusive Employers, we\u2019re expert and creating safe and engaging learning spaces. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does it work<\/h3>\n<p>We like our clients to work closely with us in developing scripts and sessions plans to ensure that the context of the learning is relevant to our delegates but not too reflective of internal challenges. A trainer will guide a group of delegates through a learning programme to:<br \/>Equip them with a clear understanding of the content;<br \/>Engage and empower them to do things differently, to make inclusion an everyday reality.<\/p>\n<p>Face-to-face training will use a slide deck, printed materials and exercises. The group will work in pairs, small teams and as plenary group to explore practical approaches to the content.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why does it work<\/h3>\n<p>Face-to-face training works because the sessions are lively, practical and engaging. Inclusive Employers ensure the delegates are immersed in theory that they can apply to practical everyday situations, making theory a reality. The face-to-face approach also allows for productive group discussion, which enables peer-to-peer learning.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason why face-to-face learning works is because it is fun! And at Inclusive Employers, we\u2019re expert and creating safe and engaging learning spaces. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does it work<\/h3>\n<p>Ideal group size is for face-to-face training is 12-20 delegates. The costs vary according to the number of days of delivery booked and the level of involvement from you, the client. The costs are based on daily rates and the most cost effective way is to plan two three-hour sessions per day.
